I have two poems published in the fall edition of Poetry Quarterly.
I have been working with a mentor/teacher, April Ossmann (former Executive Director of Alice James Books), to improve my poetry writing. It is going well but I have a lot of work to do. I plan to take a week long online course at the Fine Arts Work Center in March and have been working on my application.
I will be reading my poetry with the Boston Harbor Poets on Thursday, August 8, 2013 at the Trident Bookstore and Cafe in Back Bay, Boston.
I won First Prize in Poetry AND First Prize in Playwriting at the Philadelphia Writers Conference this June.

I just won third prize in the Gertrude Dole Memorial Poetry Contest from the Massachusetts State Poetry Society.
The anthology “Under a Hundred” has been published.
I was one of three winners in the Under a Hundred Chapbook Competition sponsored by the Georgia Poetry Society and the book is due this month.
Also, I will be heading to NYC to see my play selected by the Playhouse Creatures Theatre Company next week.
My play, Long, Long Distance, has been accepted for production in New York City in November by the Playhouse Creatures Theatre Company. My play was chosen along with 8 others out of over 250 entries. This play won Honorable Mention Playwriting at the Philadelphia Writers’ Conference in June 2010.
